In Fall 2017 students the Classical Studies capstone course (CCI 490: “The Empire Strikes Back”: Resistance and Revolt in the Ancient World) at UNC Greensboro worked collaboratively to design Neatline deep maps of revolts in the ancient world. Students used Omeka to upload objects to integrate into their maps and narrative, and Omeka’s Neatline plugin to create interactive maps which traced their assigned revolt across time and space.
